Streetrodder of the Year Banquet
Bainbridge, GA (December 3, 2005)
As you all know, we love to honor our special folks who exemplify our love of classic cars, and this night was no exception. We had the opportunity to thank all of you who attended our shows with a great meal on us at the Golden Corral for our third year, plus honor Darla and Bobby Gilmer as our first place winners for this year's Streetrodder of the Year Award. If you attended this particular evening, you knew we also handed out almost $1200.00 in money, and a variety of door prizes. We enjoyed handing out our "specialized" gifts to our staff, and even gave Clayton Weaver a big surprise by "roasting" him in the usual Confetti way. It was all in good fun and good taste, and he got into the spirit of things. Bobby and Darla Gilmer received a beautiful plaque, and now holds a place in our past and present winners of the Streetrodders of the Year. Being that this was the year for the gliches,this night was no exception. They both also received beautiful jackets with their names on them honoring their title, but they were not ready for the banquet. Bob delivered them in person with many thanks. Last year's winners, Alice and Jimmy Parks, were on hand to congratulate the new recepients of the award. The runners up also were thanked with special plaques, too. Thank you all for attending our get-together, and hope all of you consider attending next year. We want to send a special thanks to manager Rick at the Golden Corral for being a wonderful host for Confetti's banquet. He extended a warm welcome to us, and hopes we return next year. Thank you all for coming, and keep posted on the Internet for upcoming shows. We plan on having another great year!
