Special Thanks
We would like to send a warm thanks to all that were involved in the first annual car/truck show in Camilla, Georgia which was also a benefit for a local gentlemen who has cancer. We feel that the event was truly a success. The professionalism that was showed by Confetti was awesome. We truly believe that God had a hand in everything. He allowed the weather to be wonderful. We serve a great God who told us that "the things which are impossible with men are possible with God (Luke 18:27). When we allow God to take control of our whole life, he will and can do awesome wonders. We certainly appreciate your time and efforts on all the e-mails that were sent out. We would like to teach our younger generation about the heritage of the automobiles, so the legacy will be preserved through them. So the children can share the knowledge and the love for this heritage. We would like to thank all the vendors for their generous donations.

Do you believe in miracles? I know we do, and this show was living proof. We were asked to do the unimaginable - to put on a benefit car show for a young man with cancer in under four weeks. But through the wonderful world of e-mail, countless hours of effort put in by Craig Hamilton and his family and with a lot of help from up above, it was quite the success. With a brisk chill in the air and sunny skies, we pulled in 72 cars, all with one thing in mind - to help Brian Crosby and his family take a little of the financial burden off of them. Craig was able to get countless amount of donations throughout the state of Georgia and also secured a wonderful auctioneer to allow all our folks to bid on these items. At first everyone was a little shy, but it didn't take long for the enthusiasm to build and the money started to pour in. We donated a 5 foot Spectator's Choice Award trophy, and it generated the most money in our history of doing this: $580.00. We also did the 50/50 and it, too generated quite a bit of money. The winner of the $360.00 was the general manager of Camilla Chevrolet, and in turn he donated back half of that to Brian. Pizza Hut also donated over 20 pizza and all proceeds went to the young man. At the end of the show, the Jackson family was so touched, they graciously gave a huge sum of $1000 from their business for the cause. The total amount that was raised with all these events for Brian was $3,723.95. That is a phenomenal amount! All of us at Confetti's want to thank each and every one of you that attended for your kind hearts and generosity. With Christmas so close upon us and budgets so tight, it brought tears to my eyes to see everyone so giving.
Getting back to the show at hand, the Gas Hog awards and each $10.00 went to Jamie Beckwith and Tyson Homer. The Best Kid Award went to Turner Clark, age 7, from Sale City, GA, and little Miss Confetti Award went to Macee Walsh, age 1 1/2, from Camilla, GA. The Spectator's Choice Award went to Curtis King with 240 votes. We want to thank the wonderful host of this show, Camilla Chevrolet. They allowed us to put on a great show!
Remember This coming weekend is our banquet to honor Bill Dismuke as our newest StreetRodder of the Year. Please join us at Golden Corral in Bainbridge. Bobby and Darla Gilmer are last year's recipients. They joined us over the weekend from their busy schedules and showed off their beautiful grandbaby and their cool jackets. Hope to see you all there, and keep looking on the web page for the upcoming 2007 shows! Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year!
