Fifth Annual Bill Cramer Motors
|
| If you haven't had the opportunity to attend one of Bill Cramer’s sponsored car shows, then you are missing quite a day. Today was no exception. Bill Cramer himself drove 2 ½ hours from Panama City, where his other dealership is located, to spend the day with us. They pulled out the royal carpet to all of our 110 participants, starting from the incredible goodie bags and T-shirts, to the various displays and activities throughout the hours. The weather held out for us, and it was another perfect day for all of our showcase vehicles. Bill Cramer offered laser games, bingo, hourly drawings for all kinds of great gifts for the folks, door prizes, food and even the opportunity to try to win a new car. There was a display offered by the sheriffs department for driving safety, displays about various restorations for your car, and even an antique display of a working 1914 turbine. The kids were generously rewarded for being so good with Mylar balloons, pinwheels, and even light-up toys from Confetti's. The event would not even gotten off the ground without the never ending help from Skip Gober, general manager, Judy Lewis, secretary and all their wonderful staff at Bill Cramer’s. They told me it takes almost 6 months of planning to pull this day off. And from the smooth operations of the staff, and the many smiles from all the winners of the door prizes, it is well worth it. We at Confetti's are happy to see the growing number of bike and trikes at our shows. We love to see variety, from the very old to the very new, along with the selection of trucks, cars, buggys and now bikes. Today's show brought on some magnificent paint jobs. It is that labor of love that keeps the interest alive. We were also pleased to see the next generation showing off their “toys,” which some include elaborate electronics, chrome and engines. Marcus Davis and Dean Hornsby brought their bikes, and Dusty Haire brought his 2004 Neon. All the way from Nashville, TN, Jeremy Brown brought his 1997 Nissan hardbody. We saw Andy Anderson’s Toyota Scion and Chris Phillips 1963 Dune Buggy. We appreciate you coming, and hope to see you at further shows. The Redneck Cruisers Club was at Donalsonville in force, with sixteen represented vehicles. A close second with eight participating cars were the Circle City Corvettes. Eleven clubs altogether showed their colors on this day. We wouldn't be Confetti's without our pretty Sharon Lane as our Miss Confetti. She and her dad came together and played Frisbee, cleaned their car and enjoyed their first ever car show with us. Our Best Kid Award went out to precocious 5-year-old Gatlin Louis. He came with his Mom and dad, and got quite the chuckles from the audience when he told Bill Cramer that it was HIS car at today's show. Dad is preparing him right for being a future car lover. We were honored to have this sweet 8 year old as our representative. We think everyone had as good a time as the little ones. Thanks from all of us to you for another fantastic and successful show. Thank you Bill, for supporting the love of beautiful vehicles, and for spending the day with us, and thank you Skip and Judy, for your tireless efforts to put on such a great event. Once again, we were invited back for next year, so please check our web page for the date and circle it on your calendar as a “Must NOT Miss” event. Next week we will be at University Chevrolet in Tallahassee, FL, hosting their Fourth Annual Car and Truck Show. Remember, this one is for charity, so please come to celebrate our love of cars, trucks and bikes in style.
