Thomasville, GA (June 12, 2004)
The Third Annual Thomasville Ford Sales Car and Truck
Show on June 12th, 2004 in Thomasville, GA proved to be a great day for a show.
The weather held up perfectly until the end, and with over 80 competitive vehicles
on the lot, it made for tough judging for the Confetti team. This was the biggest
show for Thomasville and we think the best one yet. Being that this is our only
Ford dealership, the "Ford" showing was predominant. Mustangs, Fairlaines,
pick-ups, and Coupes had bragging rights on this day. Along with LeAnn and Patti
serving great food (did you try those brats?), there were great vendors and superb
entertainment. Ken "Elvis" Blankenship gave his all in the heat to give
us almost an hour of great Elvis classics. Thanks, Ken, for such a good job. Rich
Heburn of Fords of Florida brought some great door prizes and did the 50/50. We
always appreciate his efforts for the sport. Thomasville Ford generously provided
free drinks and sandwiches along with the dash plaques. We thank you, Mr. Mills,
and hope you continue supporting the love of the classics.
Because we anticipated many beautiful vehicles, we went with the classic cup trophy
that was divided amongst the top eight scoring entrants, then the usual first,
second and third trophy honors. the top eight were as follows:
James Parks, From Cobb, GA with his 1928 Ford Model A Roadster
Harold Jackson, from Thomasville, GA with his 1970 Plymouth super bird
Bill Dismuke, from Donalsonville, GA with the return of his stock 1964
FairlaineThunderbolt
Bobby Gilmer, from Baconton, GA with his 1967 Chevy II Nova
Dennis Smith, from Valdosta, GA with his 1970 Chevy Monte Carlo
Jim Foil, from Cordele, GA with his 1971 Chevelle SS
David Hawkins, from Tallahassee, FL with his 04 PT cruiser stinger
June and Glenn Smith, from Altha, GA (with their daily rider) 1957
Chevy Bel Air 2 door hard top
Thank you all for supporting Confetti's and Thomasville Ford. Remember next week
we will be in Albany. Hope to see you there!
I also want to send a personal note to all who bared with me on my attempt at
technology...thanks for your patience. I promise it will get better with time
and a bit more experience from the operator.
