| Saturday, May 15th brought on beautiful weather, great
entertainment, good friends and 114 superb vehicles for the Third Annual University
Chevrolet Car and Truck Show. University Chevrolet, running under the helm of
Mike Futrel, was gracious enough to donate 100% of the funds raised for the Children's
Lighthouse Foundation. Confetti's was proud to be a part of it. Their choir even
entertained us with a half-hour of song. Spearheaded by Clayton Weaver and the
Capitol City Cruizers, the club
participation trophy was donated to those talented girls at the end of the show.
It was a touching moment. The Lion's Club was there to keep our bellies full with
their great BBQ cooking, and the Outlaws band kept us dancing until the trophies
were handed out. Our next stop in in Thomasville, at the Thomasvill Ford Dealership.
We will be doing top two best overall and 1st, 2nd and 3rd place trophies. Lookinf
forward to seeing you all there. Don't forget "Elvis" (Ken Blankenship) will be
ther to entertain us. Due to the change of format, there were ten top winners
and 50 top point overall winners, and two special interest. They were: Special Interest: Bill Dismuke, from Donalsonville, Ga with a 1963 Ford lightweight Galaxie Special Interest: Alica Ward, from Bainbrigde FL, with a 1953 ford F-500 Firetruck Top Ten: Randy Seavey: from Tallahassee, FL with a 2001 Pontiac Trans Am June and Roy Campbell: from Monticello, Fl with their Signature 2002 Dale Earnhart Chevy Monte Carlo Dennis Carter: from Southport, FL with his 2003 Nissan Murano 4x4 Scott Sapp: from Tallahassee, Fl with his modified 1970 SS/RS Camaro Annie Rudolfer: from Tallahassee, FL with her 200 Pontiac Trans Am WS-6 Kathy and Paul Hewett: from Tallahassee, Fl with their stock 2002 Camaro SS Glenn and June Smith: from Altha, GA with their 1957 Bel-Air 2 door hard top (daily driven) Larry Rivers: from Tallahassee, FL with his 1955 convertible Chevy Bel-Air Dealers Choice from Champion Chevrolet went to : Larry Rivers: from Tallahassee, Fl with his 1955 Bel-Air 2 door hard top Dealers Choice from University Chevrolet went to : J.C.
