Albany, GA (May 19, 2007)

It was another beautiful day in Georgia for the Fifth Annual Show at Wallace Chevrolet. The breeze was constant, and the heat was down. Even the love bugs decided not to bother showing up, either. Buddy Cower, manager of Wallace was presented with his honorary plaque commemorating his five years of support for hosting our car show. There were plenty of reporters from television and newspapers from Albany, such as Travis Hutfield of the Albany Herald. We thank them for presenting the best interviews of the best of the quality vehicles that showed up. It was a really good showing of over 68 cars and trucks. For some reason, only the cream of the crop show up here in Albany. It was difficult for the judges, because they are so pristine. Thanks you all for attending.
We also honored the Armed Forces on this day, and there were flags abound spread throughout the lot. We at Confetti's hold a special place in our hearts for all the military soldiers that are fighting for our freedom both here in the states, and throughout the world. As always we start every show with the National Anthem and a moment of silence for our troops. With Memorial Day coming up, we ask you to take a moment and remember all that have given their lives to allow us to enjoy what we have in this great country.
Our special little Miss Confetti went to Sydney Powell of Sylvester, GA, ad our Best Kid Award went to Sam Harnage of Nashville, GA. We cannot believe the luck of the Rice family, but once again they won the 50/50 with $240, and $240 going to the Miracle Network Foundation, chosen by Buddy. Lan Skalla and Larry Clements won $10 dollars each and the gas hog award. We also presented our Clayton Weaver with a surprise birthday cake, in honor of his repeat 29th birthday.
As you know, we lost a daughter last year, and this year has been difficult with our other daughter that is in the Air Force going through intensive chemotherapy from radiation exposure while serving overseas. Because of that, we have scaled down our shows to focus on family. We will be looking forward to seeing you all again this fall with Donalsonville and the Veteran's Day show. See you then!!!
